= "Olga quickly and efficiently hauls you across the channel to the ruined town of Kneece. She says, _I keep an eye on Kneece. When you want a ride back, go to the end of the middle dock and wait. I'll be along shortly._";
= "You see Olga's boat, waiting to serve as a ferry to the ruined city of Kneece. Unfortunately, you have no ticket.";
= "Someone has erected a dark stone bunker in the middle of this ruin. The walls are about 30 feet high. You look down the passages to the north and east and see lots of shadows and basalt rock. ";
= "You hear a gentle, soothing chime. A voice, coming out of thin air, says, _Your approach has been approved. Please proceed in safety. If you give peace, you will receive peace._";
= "You reach the center of the bunker and find a small, cozy house, set up with crates of supplies and a long, narrow garden. Someone could live out here (modestly) for some time. The scent of incense hangs in the air.";
= "";
= "You hang around for an hour. Just when you start to worry, Olga comes by in her boat. She quickly takes you back to Kuper.";
= "Nerves on edge, you pass through the barrier. It ripples and parts to let you through. Nothing bad happens. That you can tell.";
= "This rank-smelling pen is used to raise wolves. Maybe they're here for show. Maybe they're shipped somewhere to be used as animal guards. It's a pretty wild thing to be raising in this small village.";
= "";
= "You ride across the channel on the boat with 10 other people. The boat springs three leaks on the trip and at one point nearly capsizes. You've faced a lot of monsters, but none were scarier than this boat ride. You finally arrive in Softport.";
= "You land in the middle of a pile of rubble on a raised platform. When your vision clears, you see many heavily-armed and unpleasant-looking men and women staring at you. It doesn't take long for them to realize you're an intruder. ";
= "";
= "Merchants stopping here must carry a lot of valuable metal ore. It's all kept in here, each crate carefully labeled, and all of it under the constant, piercing gaze of an enormous guard.";
= "The Golddale Mining Company stores tools and some freshly mined ore in this low, dusty warehouse, where it is kept under heavy guard.";
= "The town of Gidrik has fallen to the continuous depredations of the troglodyte hordes. Fireballs and magical shockwaves have left their signatures on the ruined buildings.";
= "This temple is unusually lovely and carefully built for a shrine in a backwater town. The floor is precisely cut stone, and expensive tapestries and carpets are everywhere. Building this must have been quite expensive.";
= "There are fishermen here who can ferry you to the Isle of Bigail, but only if you get a ticket. They tell you that you can get tickets from Terry, although you may want to think twice: _The Isle is full of bugs and weirdos._";
= "The trip across the channel is quick, although the fishy smell that hangs over the boat makes it seem much longer. Soon you are deposited on the Fenris Port docks.";
= "You reach a boat at the end of the dock. It is the ferry to Softport. The ferryman tells you to speak with Volb for tickets. He can be found on the docks.";
= "";
= "The air in this town is heavy with smoke and rot. It has been plagued by roaches and disease, more so than other place on this island. The Anama here work constantly to burn all trash and bodies and keep everything clean.";
= "";
= "You enter the ruins of Kneece. It was a tidy village of stone buildings on the sea. Then some unknown calamity struck it a century or so ago. The only fully intact building is recent construction: An imposing stone tower in the center of town.";
= "";
= "As you get close to the row of ruined buildings in the southeast corner of town, you smell sulfur. The air becomes hot and caustic. Your eyes burn and water. There is something large and dangerous inside.";
= "";
= "There used to be livestock in these stables. They were removed (or eaten) not long after the troglodyte attacks began.";
